May 1st is Law Day, a day devoted to reflection on the important role of the legal system in the United States. I would like to take this opportunity to inform the citizens of Racine about the Racine County Bar Association and our Law Day activity, which will take place on Friday May 6th 2011.

In 2010, the Bar is celebrated Law Day by launching a community initiative to educate local school children about the role of lawyers, judges and juries in our legal system. On April 30 2010, the Racine County Bar Association members presented a mock trial of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in over 30 classrooms throughout Racine County. More than 40 local attorneys and judges volunteered their time to present this program. School children had an opportunity to act as witnesses, bailiffs and jurors and to decide whether Goldilocks was guilty of bad manners.
